Get on your Boots

I had a sense that a pair of boots I found at the thrift store tonight were of good quality, so I went with my gut and bought them—for $10. They weren’t my size, but they were soft, beautiful leather and stamped on the bottom, “Handmade in Italy.” I just had a feeling, and I knew I could pawn them off on someone.

I decided that my sister Heidi was a perfect candidate. She tried the boots on and they fit like a charm, and I was pleased to have found them feet to stop around. Out of curiosity, Heidi and I googled the boot maker to find the ballpark of what the boots were worth.
The boots I bought for $10 at a thrift store are sold at Neiman Marcus. For about $1000.
Heidi left my house in them, $500 on each foot. She looks so chic! Merry Christmas, sis!
