Resurrected Jewelry

I haven’t worn any of these bracelets in years—but today I decided to wear all of them at once! Each bracelet has a little story…
( L ) Made of rolled magazine pages, a gift from my friend Rachel. I love paper jewelry and hope to find time to make my own someday!

( ML ) Turquoise beads…I bought it at American Eagle when I was probably a freshman in high school (seven years ago?). I think this chunky turquoise bracelet is fun, too!
( MR ) Wood and glass beads from my godmother, Laurie. I believe it’s from Bibelot, and I love this colorful bracelet on their site as well.
( R ) My favorite, a typewriter key bracelet, a gift from my mom (like this one from Uncommon Goods)
It’s time I resurrect more of my jewelry! I have so much of it that I neglect too often…

On another note, weekend time with Holly was glorious! Dinner, wine, and plenty of girl time. I painted my nails for the first time in about 14 years.
Today I’m enjoying a RARE Saturday OFF (I have no idea how this happened?) by scavenging Hulu (I’ve been watching Parks and Recreation all morning…highly recommend) and now going to lunch with my sister.
Happy Saturday!

Of course you do…I talk about her nonstop because she’s my best friend! Holly picked me up from the airport when I got back from San Francisco a few weeks ago and we took these fun photos, ate pizza and had a sleepover. I was sad about leaving California, and found her presence to be so very comforting.
Holly is swinging through my town tomorrow and I get to have a dinner date with her! How lovely, I can’t wait. She’s going to stay with me, too, which will be a nice way to take my mind off the stresses of school and work!
HOORAY for HOLLY!

colour palettes! yay!

This is the most invaluable resource for me: FREE color palettes through the online community of color enthusiasts (!!!!!!) at Colour Lovers. C linked me with this site and I’ve gone crazy on it checking out all the palettes and getting inspired! I would consider myself a “colour lover.”
Some of the palettes that caught my eyes //

I must be doing something wrong. I lost a follower! What should I do? Start having giveaways with my stuff? Post videos of me juggling and eating Oreo cookies? Cut my hair into a pink mohawk? Post my credit card number? I’m at a loss.
Oh well. I’m a busy gal and that’s the bottom line. Here’s the good news of the day:
• Had a review for the BA exhibition that I’ll be a part of (PSSSST…it opens March 7!) My stuff was approved (even though it’s not done) (my professors are placing their trust in my hands) and I am excited to show. I’m working on some signage for Rubbish & Bosh (see these posters, which will be in the show). It’s a large hanging sign and I’m excited about where it’s going. I’m starting to find a niche with 3D sign making and it’s something I’d like to continue.
• Received a lovely gift in the mail from a beautiful Oklahomian named Kat Hodges — an autographed David Sedaris book! Wowowowow! THANK YOU KAT and JAVEN.
• Took a 3 hour nap in front of the heater…on my bedroom floor. Passssssed out! So delicious.
• Now roaming through my computer’s Font Book. I have 346 fonts.
Let’s see if I can accomplish anything tonight?
I’ll leave you with this man:
