Just White.

I’M SUPER TIRED AND STRESSED RIGHT NOW, so this is all I really want to see: White. Just white. White to clear my mind!

I found these images from one hip site, Apartment Therapy. If Apartment Therapy where actually a home, I would want to live there. I would even live on their website. Okay. Not.
Here is to everything being “all white”…

AfroChic

A FEW MONTHS BACK, C was telling me that he was doing a product shoot for a California designer called AfroChic. “She has the coolest business cards I’ve ever seen,” he told me, then sent me a picture of one. They were darn cool.

Today, amidst getting sucked into the bloggosphere (as usual), a link led to a link that led to another link that led me to…AfroChic! And suddenly the word felt so small.
As it turns out, AfroChic’s pillows have been popping up on “Gift guides” and “Wish lists” on blogs blogwide. Their groovy pillows and patterns have me pretty smitten. I want their wallpapers in my life.

I REALLY THOUGHT I’D DREAD THE WINTER. Now that it’s here—unavoidably so—I really don’t much mind. Yesterday morning I walked out the door and began the trail to class. The first thing I noticed was an impeccable calmness that had overtaken my surroundings. There was not a sound, no cars screeching on the streets, no doors opening or closing, no sirens or horns. Only a light snowfall that extended the whiteness of the earth; an awakening. For two and a half blocks, I meditated in frost-coated silence.
Brother Ryan’s surprise I found in the snow this afternoon…his hunting quarry. Classy…no wait, CLASSIC.

Back in Moorhead after a lovely jaunt to Minot for the holiday! These next few weeks are going to be out of control, but I think I’ve prepared myself mentally to make it all happen. Nose back to the grindstone tomorrow…ew ew ew ew ewwww.
